How Much Does Wholesale Silver Jewelry Cost in 2026
How Much Does Wholesale Silver Jewelry Cost? (2026 Prices)
Real price ranges from 1,800+ catalog pieces — plus what drives the cost, how silver's record year affects your buy price, and how to mark up for margin.
Wholesale sterling silver jewelry costs about $5–$24 for earrings, $11–$48 for rings, $6–$62 for chains, and $13–$116 for bracelets, based on our regular catalog prices as of September 29, 2026. Where a piece lands in that range depends on four things: silver weight, labor, stones, and plating.
Those numbers matter more this year than usual. Silver hit a record $121.67 an ounce in January 2026, then fell back to about $61. If you resell jewelry, you've probably wondered whether your buy price is fair — and how much room it leaves you to profit.
We've been a direct importer in the LA Jewelry District since 1996, and we see price questions every day. This guide gives you real wholesale price ranges pulled from our catalog, explains what drives them, and shows you how to mark them up so the math works for your business.
- Most wholesale 925 sterling silver pieces cost $5–$50. Typical (median) prices run about $12 for earrings, $19 for rings, $28 for pendants, and $31 for bracelets
- Sterling silver is worth about $1.81 per gram in melt value at today's spot price (~$61/oz). Wholesale jewelry costs more because it includes labor, finishing, stones, and plating
- Chains are priced by weight, so width and length drive the price — a 3.0mm Miami Cuban runs $37.73 at 16" and $46.65 at 20"
- Resellers typically mark up wholesale silver 2.5x to 3.5x. Online sellers should aim for the high end to cover platform fees and shipping
- At Silver Palace, orders start at a $200 minimum, with 15% off eligible items at $1,000 and 25% off at $5,000

How Much Does Wholesale Silver Jewelry Cost by Category?
Here are 2026 wholesale silver jewelry prices, category by category. These ranges come from more than 1,800 regular-priced 925 sterling silver and CZ pieces in our catalog. We left out clearance, closeout, gold, moissanite, and lab-grown diamond items so the numbers reflect everyday sterling pricing.
| Category | Typical Wholesale Range | Median Price |
|---|---|---|
| Earrings | $5–$24 | $12 |
| Rings | $11–$48 | $19 |
| Necklaces | $14–$34 | $19 |
| Pendants | $11–$71 | $28 |
| Chains | $6–$62 | $13 |
| Bracelets | $13–$116 | $31 |
| Matching Sets | $18–$46 | $30 |
| Anklets | $10–$24 | $16 |
Earrings are the cheapest way to build inventory — a small stud or huggie often costs less than $10. Bracelets have the widest spread, because a dainty chain bracelet and a chunky Italian cuff are very different amounts of silver. Heavy statement pieces sit well above these ranges: a thick Miami Cuban chain or a moissanite tennis necklace can run from $100 to several hundred dollars at wholesale.

Sterling silver is worth about $1.81 per gram in melt value, based on a silver spot price of about $61 per troy ounce on September 29, 2026 (Forbes Advisor). That's the value of the raw metal only — not what you'll pay for finished jewelry.
The math behind the melt value
A troy ounce is 31.1 grams. So $61 per ounce works out to about $1.96 per gram of pure silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver — which is where the "925" stamp comes from. Multiply $1.96 by 0.925 and you get about $1.81 per gram of sterling (Money Metals explains the same formula). The other 7.5% is usually copper, which makes the metal hard enough to wear.
Why wholesale jewelry costs more than melt value
Take our basic 3.0mm Miami Cuban chain in 20". It weighs about 14 grams, so it holds roughly $25 of silver at today's price. Its wholesale price is $46.65. The difference pays for turning metal into jewelry: casting or machine-making the links, soldering, polishing, the clasp, quality checks, importing, and the supplier's margin. On most finished pieces, the silver itself is only about half of the wholesale price. That's also why "price per gram" isn't the whole story — a delicate filigree ring and a plain band can weigh the same and cost very different amounts.
What Drives the Cost of Wholesale Silver Jewelry
Four factors decide where a piece lands in the price table. Knowing them helps you spot a fair price — and pick the pieces with the best margin for your customers.
Weight is the biggest factor. Our sterling chains are priced by weight, so every extra millimeter of width or inch of length adds cost. A narrower width or a hollow style gets the look of a heavy chain at a lower price point.
Handwork costs money. Hand-set stones, detailed casting, and Italian-made chains all add labor on top of the metal. Italian chains cost more than similar-weight imports from elsewhere, but they hold their value with customers who know the difference.
Cubic zirconia adds very little to cost and a lot of sparkle — which is why CZ pieces dominate the lower and middle price tiers. Moissanite and lab-grown diamonds cost more but sell at much higher retail prices.
Much of our sterling is rhodium plated, which keeps it bright and slows tarnish. Gold, rose gold, and two-tone finishes add a small cost but let you offer a "gold look" at silver prices — one of the easiest ways to widen your price range without buying 14K gold.
| Width (non-plated) | 16" | 20" | 24" |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.0mm | $37.73 | $46.65 | $55.50 |
| 3.7mm | $54.74 | $70.14 | $103.66 |
| 4.9mm | n/a | $114.31 | $137.18 |
How 2026 Silver Prices Affect Wholesale Costs
Silver has had a wild year. The spot price hit an all-time high of $121.67 per ounce on January 29, 2026. By late September it was back around $61 — down about half from the peak but still about 30% higher than a year earlier. At January's peak, the silver alone in that 20" Miami Cuban chain would have been worth about $50, more than the chain's entire wholesale price today.
Wholesale prices don't move tick by tick with the spot price. Suppliers buy metal and finished goods ahead of time and update price sheets periodically — so wholesale prices tend to lag behind big swings in either direction.
- When spot drops, it's a good time to restock heavy pieces. Chains, cuffs, and chunky bracelets are the most sensitive to metal prices.
- Lightweight pieces barely move. A pair of CZ studs is mostly labor, so its price is fairly stable regardless of spot swings.
- Don't try to time the market perfectly. Keep your best sellers in stock, and adjust the size of your orders instead.
Minimum Orders, Volume Discounts, and Shipping
The price tag isn't your only cost. Minimum orders, discounts, and shipping change what you actually pay per piece.
Minimum orders
Most US silver wholesalers set minimums between $100 and $400. At Silver Palace, the minimum is $200, and you can mix any styles and categories to reach it — a new reseller can test a dozen styles without tying up thousands of dollars.
Volume discounts
| Order Total | Discount |
|---|---|
| Under $1,000 | Wholesale price |
| $1,000–$4,999 | 15% off eligible items |
| $5,000+ | 25% off eligible items |
Volume discounts don't apply to chains, pendants, 14K gold, lab-grown diamonds, or closeout items. So if you're planning a big order to reach a discount tier, fill it with rings, earrings, bracelets, and sets. See full wholesale pricing details for the complete list of exclusions.
Landed cost: domestic vs. overseas
Overseas factories can show lower prices per piece. But your real cost is the landed cost: the price plus international shipping, customs duties, and weeks of waiting. For resellers who need to restock fast, those extras can wipe out the savings. We keep ready stock in Los Angeles, and most orders ship the same business day. Orders of $1,000 or more also get free UPS Ground shipping within the contiguous 48 states.
How Much to Mark Up Wholesale Silver Jewelry
Most jewelry resellers mark up wholesale sterling silver 2.5x to 3.5x, which works out to a 60% to 70% gross margin. Plain silver basics usually sit near 2.5x. Pieces with stones, plating, or a strong design can support 3x or more.
For a deeper look at retail prices by category, see our complete guide to wholesale sterling silver jewelry, which includes a wholesale-to-retail price table.
Maria buys: 20 pairs of CZ earrings at $12 = $240 + 10 rings at $19 = $190 + 5 Figaro chains (2.1mm, 18") at $13.27 = $66.35 — total $496.35.
At 2.5x markup (earrings at $30, rings at $49, chains at $35), the full lot is worth about $1,265 at retail. Even if a few pieces don't sell right away, her first sales cover her cost quickly.
Jordan pairs a $28 pendant with a $12 Figaro chain — cost $40. At 2x he'd list at $80, but platform fees (~10% = $8), packaging ($3), and shipping ($5) leave just $24 profit.
At 2.5x ($100) he keeps about $42. That's why online sellers should aim for 3x or more.
